If one is a watch enthusiast, there will come a day when you see the honesty and superb quality of Seagull. There will be the time before and the time after this realization. This dual time watch allows me to always know the time where my daughter is abroad studying. It is more than a watch, it is a poinient linkage in my life. The dual time function may take a few moments to set up at first. Check YouTube for this watch. My personal notes to remind me how to set up are as follows. They may assist other users.... The local time zone is on the left hand side of the watch face. Pull the crown out to move the hands. (1) Set the second time zone to the actual current time in the second time zone:- Rotate the Crown ANTICLOCKWISE for the second time zone adjustment. Park the minute hand 3 or 4 minutes ahead of the current time, this will help keep the watch hands nicely aligned at the end of the process. (2) Adjust the local time – do this in 3 or 4 minuets for perfect hand alignment:- Rotate the Crown CLOCKWISE for local time adjustment, note the hands rotate anticlockwise. The minute hands in both the second time zone and the local time should be parallel, and the hour hands should be correctly proportional between hour divisions. (3) Ensure the date changes at midnight local time. Rotate the Crown ANTICLOCKWISE slowly are carefully. The local time hands will rotate clockwise. Keep an eye on the date indicator, and keep turning until the date changes. This indexes the date change to occur at midnight. Now continue to rotate the Crown ANTICLOCKWISE until you have accurately arrived at the current time precisely. (4) Set the current date using the pusher. It is best to do these adjustments in the morning so you don’t get involved with the time period between approximately 9:00PM to 3:00AM, well clear of the start of the date changing mechanism process. If anyone can improve on the above, please share. This watch is perfect and a treasure.
